Results of the Glasgow AGM 2018November 1, 2018
From the board of UKPON we’d like to thank Glasgow Pride for hosting the 2018 AGM. Additionally, we’d like to thank Andy Train for his contribution to the network and wish him well in his role at InterPride (We are sure he’ll be no stranger).
By way of clarification, as per results of the voting which was independently counted and verified; Pride in Newry will be the hosts of UK & Ireland Pride 2019.
They will be followed in 2020 by Northern Pride.
Thank you to both Pride Cymru and Pride in Plymouth for your bids to host UK Prides, we wish you every success with your 2019/20 events and welcome you to re-bid at our next AGM for 2021.
With 155 registered Pride organisations it’s evident now, more than ever that we should stand together, share our knowledge and not be strangers.
From motions proposed at the AGM we can confirm that 2019 will see a new conference and of course our usual AGM.
The hosts of the 2019 AGM in October, as voted by you will be Doncaster Pride.
The hosts of the new conference in April will be Warwickshire Pride.
Dates and agendas will be shared with you all in due course.
The UKPON board is back to full health and running full steam ahead in plans to build a stronger more supportive network which you can rely on.
Thank you once again to everyone who attended and also voted.
