UKPON AGM & Conference – Bidding process
There is no detailed criteria for a bid for UKPON AGM 2019. We suggest that the bidding organisation should have organised at least one successful Pride event that was diverse, inclusive and well received. There is no size or location requirements per se, although the bidding organisation should consider that Accessibility in all aspects of the event is a key consideration – including any payments required for venue, catering and networking. The UKPON Board will work closely with the host pride via their appointed representative to ensure that the event is made as welcoming and inspiring to members of the Network.
Each bid should include details of the potential location, dates, workshop/panel themes, budget and local partners (eg LGBT businesses, organisations and government). The bid should also be clear about why the organisation is bidding – including why now, and not next year, for example. The bid should be bold, and be proud of its Pride!
The Bid will be share online to all Members of UKPON and via this website. The format therefore may include a document (preferred as a PDF) and/or short movie (not more than 5mins).
